You may feel enthused about starting your own window cleaning business now, but it will not be easy. If you don't have the fire and desire to start your company, the discipline to stay up late at night doing research, and the will to go out on a limb to take risks because you want your commercial window cleaning company to be successful then I advise you to stop now, because window cleaning is not for you. But if your willing to do all those things and more then by all means please read this article. Commercial window washing can be a VERY lucrative business, if you know what your doing.
To start out your commercial window cleaning company your going to need the basic tools and resources to get the job done. A company vehicle is necessary if you want a high paying client to take you seriously, you do not want to be seen or known as the "Bucket Bob" of the town. If your serious about this then you will buy yourself a company vehicle, I prefer a van because the fact that my equipment is more secure from theft and protected from the elements. Make sure it is in good condition to carry all your equipment and more.
You will also need to have a professional logo designed for you. Your commercial window washing logo will be used on ALL of your documents and business memorabilia. You should use a logo on your website, receipts, invoices, fliers, postcards, and business cards. A logo is very important and will help you get your name out their. If your not familiar with brand marketing then I recommend you do research on the subject after your logo is made. Make sure your logo is not too cartoonish or childish, you want to be taken seriously so it needs to be extremely professional. I recommend the name of your company and logo to be short and easy to remember, you want everyone to remember the logo even if they saw your commercial window cleaning business card months ago.
The last tip I will give you is the need for discipline to do research on your customer and your commercial window cleaning competition. Who is your competition? What are they doing? What are they not doing? Where are they located? What area do they service? How about your target audience? What are you doing to your marketing pieces to get them to call you? How are you selling to them personally? What do they like and dislike? Every last one of these questions need to be answered in detail if your going to be successful.
